While the Internet has given us many things we could probably have lived without, it delivers plenty of good as well—this site being one of them, of course. But what I’m talking about today is the proliferation of short horror films you can easily find online.
I watched a lot of them in consideration for this column, and this is one that really stood out. “Witches Brew,” directed by Blumhouse.com Editor-in-Chief Rebekah McKendry, takes an iconic Halloween party game and brings it to gruesome life—much to the dismay of a handful of participating trick-or-treaters. McKendry and her crew do a great job of hitting the right mix of horror and fun so integral to Halloween yet so difficult to actually achieve. The short looks great, very polished and professional, and at just over two minutes long it’s the perfect bite-sized treat to help get you through the long days left between now and Halloween.

Heh heh. Loved it. Fun & creepy at the same time. Perfect for Halloween.
