Cemetery Dance Publications is very pleased to announce that Bram Stoker award winning author Norman Prentiss has been hired as Editor of the Cemetery Dance eBook line to oversee the relaunch of the line as a major part of our business in 2015. The hardcovers and the magazine aren’t going away, but we’ve already published more than 100 eBooks in the last few years and we want to take advantage of the digital landscape to promote Cemetery Dance Publications and our authors to a new generation of horror readers.
Norman’s been working with us since 2005 when he started as a proofreader, then later moved on to an Assistant Editor position reading story submissions to the magazine in 2006; his magazine stint as Associate Editor, Non-Fiction, started with issue 61, shifting later to Associate Editor, Fiction. Other work has included copyediting for some of his favorite authors in the CD book line.
Norman’s fiction has appeared in Postscripts, Black Static, Dark Fusions, All-American Horror of the 21st Century, Blood Lite 3, Best Horror of the Year, The Year’s Best Dark Fantasy and Horror, and elsewhere. He’s proud to have several publications under the CD banner, including his first book, Invisible Fences, in the Cemetery Dance Novella Series (winner of a 2010 Bram Stoker Award in the Long Fiction Category); Four Legs in the Morning in the Cemetery Dance Signature Series, and stories in CD anthologies and chapbooks, including four appearances in the acclaimed Shivers series.
Norman recently stepped down from his magazine duties to concentrate on a newly created position as Editor for the Cemetery Dance eBook line. He’ll be working with Brian James Freeman, Richard Chizmar, Kate Freeman, Mindy Jarusek, and Dan Hocker to help manage the CD eBooks currently available, and will help acquire and edit new titles—including a new series of books that will be announced shortly.
